Mares

Our mare band changes from time to time, but these are some of our current mares:

Harriot King

Harriott is a former cutting horse who has earned in excess of $3,000 in the cutting pen in limited showing.  She comes from a line of performance horses making their mark on the cutting world today.  We acquired Harriott in late 2003.  She had foundered and we were able to nurse her back to health.  She is now strong and happy.  She is being ridden by an 11 year old boy, and is bred to Duke for a 2006 foal.

Lena Rey star

Lena was born on the ranch April 16, 2001.  Her dam is a buckskin mare, Brass Docs Star, who has four AQHA Team Penning points.  Her sire is Skipper Rey Lena (Colonel Rey Lena x Par Two Perlina). 

Always been an outstanding filly, she began competing as a yearling in Conformation and In-Hand Trail with the FQHR and WFQHA.  Now as a three year old, she has been shown in Ranch Pleasure, and in Ranch Pleasure Youth with the FQHR.  Placing well in both classes.  She continues to do well in conformation classes.  We will continue her show career in 2005 with the FQHR and WFQHA.

Ebony N Azure

Blue is our lone breeding stock APHA registered girl.  She was born on the ranch March 9, 1999.  Her dam was Devils Sonoita, a sweet wonderful quarter horse mare we lost a year later to a lightning strike.  Her sire is War Hulk, a black and white APHA stallion with unmatched looks, conformation and disposition.  Blue seems to have gotten the best from both of her parents, though I could have hoped for a little more in the way of color than just her eyes!

Diablos Stormy Girl

Stormy was foaled April 21, 2002, on the ranch. Her dam is Pirannhs Jinx, a Peppy San Badger/Freckles Playboy bred AQHA mare.  Her sire is Dukes Diablo. She has inherited her sire's beautiful head and working conformation, along with his great disposition and heart.  She was the OkQHA weanling futurity winner in 2002, third at the WFQHA World Show in 2002.  In 2004, she was the Reserve Champion OkFQHR In-Hand Trail two year old.  She has been started under saddle and is progressing in her training.  Stormy is for sale.

Ms Golden Hotrodder

Goldie was foaled on the ranch in April of 2001.  Her dam is a double bred Docs Hotrodder mare.  Her sire, Freckles Cranberry, is an NCHA money earner and an own son of Freckles Flynt.  Goldie is an outstanding athlete with size, muscle and a great disposition.  Goldie is for sale.
