Dukes diablo 1980 - 2005
(reference sire)
Duke
was an own son of
the 1979 NCHA Futurity Champion Docs Diablo (Docs Prescription x Poco Christa).
He has NCHA earnings and was used as a team roping horse for ma
ny, many years,
earning thousands of dollars in the roping arena. In all our years of
horsemanship, we have never had the pleasure of working with a finer animal, nor
have we known of a horse with more heart than Duke. Duke passed on in
October of 005, and he is greatly missed.

Tuf's
story is unique and heartwarming. I first saw him as a spindly three week
old colt. His dam had foundered while in foal with him, and the birth had
been a difficult one. Tuf was early, and he couldn't stand on his own to
nurse. They kept him warm, and held him up to nurse for the first three
days of his life. On the third day, he got up, and no one has been able to
keep him down since. He came to live with us when he was three months old,
along with his dam, Diablos Misty Blu and his sire, Duke. He was shown as a
yearling and as a two-year old. He was broke to saddle as a three year
old, and has had professional cutting training. He will go back to the
show ring in working cow horse and ranch cutting.
We have made the decision to geld Tuf this spring and give him a better life as a riding and working mount. Thanks to all who have bred to him, and do look for his 2007 foals!
